Laser Hair Removal
One of the most popular laser treatments performed is laser hair removal. At DeRoberts Plastic surgery the finest hair removal laser on the market is available with the Cynosure Elite Plus The Elite+’s wavelengths are the gold standard for hair removal, facial and leg veins, epidermal pigmented lesions, and wrinkle reduction on all skin types. The Elite+ Aesthetic Workstation is built on two clinically proven wavelengths—the 755 nm Alexandrite and 1064 nm Nd:YAG lasers, which allow us to perform aesthetic laser treatments with unsurpassed efficacy and client comfort.
Laser Vein Treatment
Unsightly varicose and spider veins in your legs can make you feel self-conscious about wearing skirts and shorts, or you may have just given up and decided to wear pants rather than handle the issue. Now, there’s a solution: the Nd:YAG laser, which works efficiently for complete removal of unattractive varicose and spider veins in the legs. In addition, this powerful laser can also be used in hair removal treatments, giving you the smooth legs or underarms you have always desired. In Syracuse, laser hair removal is best left to the professionals at DeRoberts Plastic Surgery.
One of the newest laser treatments that women are discovering is vaginal rejuvenation. The fractional CO2 laser gently and painlessly acts on the vaginal walls through a special scanner. This action creates indistinguishable micro-lesions that are required for the production of new collagen which rejuvenates the components of the vaginal mucosa and the urogenital structures. Significant improvements can be seen even after the first treatment (although 3 are recommended the first time): the vaginal mucosa becomes more nourished and hydrated and the epithelium becomes thicker, more toned and elastic. The correct vaginal pH becomes re-established, which helps maintain its natural protective barrier and reduces the risk of infection. Enhanced vaginal tissues at the urethral opening may reduce problems with incontinence and improve sexual function.
If you want to treat skin damage, wrinkles, discoloration, pore size or just improve the overall tightness of your skin, Fractional CO2 or Ablative Erbium laser therapy may be an ideal solution for your needs. These treatments use a laser beam to resurface the skin.
- The ablative Erbium laser peels off the top layers of skin to give the skin a more youthful, less sun damaged appearance with a short down time. The Erbium Laser Peel is a controlled resurfacing peel that is noninvasive and requires only 2-3 days of downtime. It is a minimal to full epidermal laser peel that precisely removes the damaged outermost layers of the skin while promoting the growth of collagen. The Laser Peel exfoliates your skin’s tough, dull outer layer and reveals the healthier, brighter, and younger skin beneath. This treatment can improve pigmentation problems such as melasma and brown spots, acne scarring, fine lines and wrinkles, and sun damage. This skin resurfacing technique leaves you looking revitalized and allows you to reveal the inner you.
- The fractional CO2 laser delivers thousands of tiny columns of heat into the skin’s deepest layers causing improved tone, elasticity, and collagen production. The CO2 laser is commonly used to treat wrinkles, blotchiness or age spots, and scars from acne or other causes. It can be used on the entire face, under-eyes hands, arms, and neck. Certain other characteristics of your skin, such as its thickness and texture, may influence whether you are a good candidate for laser resurfacing. Some patients say they experience a mild “tightening” effect on the skin.
If you’re considering a simpler skin rejuvenation treatment like a photofacial, the IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is aimed at reducing the signs and symptoms of sunspots, aging and redness, creating an overall smoother skin tone. The light pulse treatment may leave a bit of redness behind the day it is performed, but after that you’ll see great results!
What can an IPL Laser Treatment Help with:
Large pores, Redness, Brown spots, Broken Blood Vessels, Rosacea, Fine Lines and wrinkles, Freckles, and Sun damage.
The Goal of IPL Photofacials is to improve the overall color and texture of the skin.
The high energy light waves are used to reduce or eliminate many of the common effects of aging, including facial wrinkles and skin discoloration. IPL light also encourages the production of collagen, a natural protein that fills in wrinkles, making the skin smooth and supple. With each treatment, the results of IPL photo rejuvenation become more evident.
Five full-face IPL photofacial/fotofacial sessions spaced three weeks apart are recommended for optimal results.
Laser Tattoo Removal
Do you have a tattoo that you regret? DeRoberts Plastic Surgery offers laser tattoo removal. Lasers are the most common method of tattoo removal performed today and can remove most tattoos in a safe, effective, and comfortable way.
Please keep in mind, we can only estimate the number of treatments it will take to completely remove the tattoo. This is because: 1. The wide variation of inks and pigmented materials used for tattooing, 2. The inks themselves are made up of a combination of different chemical substances, 3. The amount of ink placed in the tattoo, as well as the depth of pigment placement varies from one tattoo to another, 4. The ability of your white blood cells to “gobble up and drag away” different pigment particles varies, 5. Other unknown factors. As a result of these many issues we cannot be absolutely certain how your particular tattoo will respond. Most “amateur or homemade” tattoos will generally require about 5-7 laser treatments. “Professional” tattoos and those done by harder inks, tend to be more variable to response, and average about 8-12 laser treatments. Some stubborn tattoo inks may require even more treatments.
